OPEN AIR MUSEUM OF THE RURAL LIFE OF OSSA

In 2016, with persistent, specific and coordinated actions of the association, the initial proposal of the creation of such a museum, evolved into a series of actions, interventions and projects in the settlement of Ossa. In the context of an action plan entitled "Open Air Museum of Rural Life of Ossa", the association has proceeded to the creation of three visitable places of culture in the traditional settlement of Ossa and specifically:

a) Ossa's Folk Collection (2016),

b) Old Grocery (2018) and

c) Old Tsagaradiko (2019).

These three spaces were created exclusively by our own means and voluntary work offer from our members (men and women), who are always willing to help in whatever is needed. Visitors, schools and individuals are already visiting our sites, and we are receiving very positive feedback. In order for each of our actions to be precise and as much scientifically correct as possible, the association often seeks the advice of people whose involvement is related to the work that needs to be done, while the action is always accompanied by the publication of a small printed guide, press releases on local media and social media. An important factor is the fact that tasks, such as carpentry, graphic design and photography, are undertaken on a non-profit basis by professional members of our association.
